Brew & Bake

The interior design for Brew & Bake, a micro bakery and specialty coffee bar, is inspired by a mix of Scandinavian and Japanese design. Natural and industrial materials like wood, concrete, and steel form the foundation of the space. Together, they create a calm, timeless interior with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The layout is designed to be clear and easy to navigate. Because the space has several entrances, it was important to create a strong sense of orientation. A central counter forms the heart of the bakery and is easily accessible from every entrance. Another important part of the design is celebrating the craftsmanship behind Brew & Bake’s products. Large glass partitions provide clear views of both the specialty coffee bar and the bakery kitchen, allowing visitors to watch bread, pastries, and coffee being prepared. This creates a stronger connection between the makers and the visitors while adding to the authentic experience.

The floor plan offers a variety of seating options. In the centre of the space, a custom-made, organically shaped furniture piece helps guide the circulation. Visitors can easily move around it, while it also provides comfortable seating for larger groups. A mix of high and low tables creates variety and flexibility, allowing people to enjoy the space in different ways, whether they stay for coffee and something freshly baked or simply stop by for pick-up.

Plants play an important role throughout the interior. They add softness and bring life to the space, creating a natural contrast with the clean lines and robust materials.
